The Bahamas Are OPEN! We partnered with Balearia Caribbean and took a day trip to Bimini to see what the scuba diving conditions are like in the Bahamas following hurricane Dorian.
Mass media would have you believe that the Bahamas are closed! The Bahamas are devastated! And this is simply untrue. Only 2 of the 14 inhabited islands of the Bahamas (there are 700 islands in total) were directly effected by Dorian. Bimini? Untouched. So we wanted to show you - the good scuba diving public - that instead of stay away from the Bahamas to 'give them a chance to recover' they need you to be doing the exact opposite - go to the Bahamas, spend your scuba diving dollars and support the local businesses, so that your money can go to help rebuild the islands that were damaged.
Thanks to Balearia Caribbean for sponsoring this film. Check out their rates and schedule HERE:

We believe in practicing what we preach, so we jumped at the chance to partner with Balearia Caribbean and took the ferry from Fort Lauderdale to Bimini and spent the day there diving and dining and were home in time to walk the dog! A foreign diving day trip!
We wanted to show how easy it is for someone in South Florida to support our neighbors. Go for a day trip to Bimini! Or make it a long weekend! And if you live further afield, maybe consider taking the ferry to Bimini instead of flying to Mexico or Bonaire for your scuba diving vacation. The Bahamas could use YOUR support!
This is a very personal film for us. We hope you like it! Thank you so much for all your comments and support of this video and all of our channel content.
Dive safe, dive often...
